FM Marcus Joseph wins the first national qualifiers with a stunning score of 7/7

National Primary School Individual Chess Championship
This was the largest of its kind in history, with a staggering 158 participants from 35 schools
At this event, our very own ACM Ty Humphrey was crowned the Primary School Champion, and Breanna Joseph was the top female player in the event.
Mind Warriors Academy fielded 5 schools in this event with the following results:

St Monica's Preparatory School successfully defended its title, even improving on its previous winning score by 1/2 point.

St Andrew's Private School cemented itself as a force to be reckoned with in Primary School chess. The school improved from 5th to tied for second, with the tiebreak placing them at 3rd.

The University School also had its best showing yet in this event, finishing in 6th place.

We also had 2 first-time participants: The Giuseppi Preparatory School and Lucia's Private School... both having noteworthy debuts, finishing tied for 12th place.
Jumbo Chess Invitational Primary School Team Tournament
Mind Warriors Academy is thrilled to report that 3 of its schools fielded 7 teams in the Jumbo Chess Invitational Team tournament held at The Valpark Plaza on 14 June 2025.
A total of 38 teams competed in the event, and Mind Warriors Academy left a powerful mark, claiming all four of the top positions. The team results are summarized below:
